One car accident in Fullerton may be related to another

Most people have probably seen "chain reaction" accidents on the roadways in California before. This is when the actions in a car accident far ahead of a chain of vehicles impacts many of the vehicles behind the location of the initial impact. Something similar may have occurred recently when, in the early morning hours of March 25, two separate accidents occurred on Highway 91.

According to a recent report, the initial accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. There were few details about how the accident occurred, but it was reported that a vehicle was on fire and there was debris scattered all across the highway. It was also reported that one person died in that car accident.

And then, just about an hour later, the California Highway Patrol reported that a second accident occurred near where the first accident had occurred. It appears that there was still some traffic backup from the first accident at the time that the second accident occurred, but the CHP could not say for sure whether or not the two accidents were connected. The second accident was even worse than the first, involving a total of three vehicles. In the second accident one vehicle was completely flipped over and the two others ended up on their sides. And again, one person died.

Although the accident investigation of these two crashes is certain to be ongoing, it may be possible that the second accident occurred because of the backup in traffic that was caused by the first accident. Either way, all drivers are expected to maintain constant vigilance on their surroundings. If any of the drivers in the second accident are found to have been driving negligently, it may be possible for the victims to seek compensation in a personal injury lawsuit.
