Former Marine dies in hit and run crash with 2 vehicles

When there is a car accident in Southern California, drivers are expected to stop and render aid if it is necessary. At the very least, they should stop and make certain that everyone is safe and contact law enforcement for an accident report. This requirement is heightened when there is an accident with a pedestrian. Because they are not shielded with the protections that those in a car have, pedestrian accidents can result in serious injuries and death. When it is a hit and run, it becomes a criminal issue. Those who have been injured or had a loved one killed because of a fatal pedestrian accident should understand the importance of considering a legal filing.

A Marine veteran was killed in a hit and run accident when he was hit by two different vehicles. The accident occurred at around 1 a.m. as the man, 25, was crossing the street close to a gas station. He was hit and then dragged by the first vehicle and then hit by another vehicle. Both cars fled. The man who died was the father of a young daughter. He was in California on business. One of the vehicles that was involved is believed to have been a vintage Chevrolet Camaro. Law enforcement has yet to find the driver of that vehicle. The other driver, however, was found. The 46-year-old man was driving a 2014 Acura SUV. He is reportedly a doctor. He was arrested.

There is an immeasurable amount of pain that a family will feel when a loved one is lost in an unexpected and unnecessary way. A fatal pedestrian accident not only takes a person's life, but it deprives the family of their loved one and causes emotional, personal and financial upheaval. There will need to be a funeral. Then the family will try to find a way to move forward. Often, that can only be accomplished with a legal filing to be compensated. This is of specific importance when there is a hit and run as an investigation will be essential to the case.

In this accident, a Marine veteran was killed when he was hit by two cars as he crossed the street. Both fled. One driver was found and arrested. Police are searching for the other. The man who died was the father of a toddler. A lawsuit cannot bring him back, but it can help the family with other matters. A lawyer can be of assistance.
